  1. What is DEOXALUMINITE?

Deoxaluminite is an aluminum-based, rust-inhibiting, weld-through metal primer that contains no heavy metals such as zinc. It has been widely used in industrial applications for over 50 years.

  2. Where can I buy it?

You can contact your local welding supply house, one of our international distributors or contact us direct with your purchase order.

  3. What is the coverage per gallon and how is it applied?

Coverage averages 500 square feet per gallon at .75 mil dry film thickness. The material should not be thinned before application. Just stir well and use right from the can. Application may be up to 2 mil thickness if desired. Deoxaluminite can be brushed or sprayed on, or your parts can be dipped into it.

  4. How can Deoxaluminite be shipped?

Deoxaluminite can be shipped by truck or ocean freight and there are hazardous materials fees which apply to these shipments. Shipment terms are FOB our factory. We will prepay and add freight charges to our invoice for shipments or we can ship collect to your freight or package account.

  5. What is the shelf life?

Shelf life is 18 months if cans are unopened. For more information on storage, see the Material Safety Data Sheet or Product Data Sheet

  6. How is it packaged?

1 and 5 gallon cans and 55 gallon drums. We do not offer Deoxaluminite in an aerosol can since the high percentage of aluminum pigment tends to clog the spray nozzle.
